How much blood do you lose during your period?
Normal is up to 80 ml per period. More than that is heavy menstrual bleeding, and it is worth seeing a doctor about it.
Each time you change a pad or tampon, colour in on the picture how soaked it is and press “Add”. The calculator adds everything up for the whole period and remembers your entries in this browser.

This is an estimate: it shows whether it is worth discussing your periods with a doctor, but it is not a diagnosis. The volumes come from a visual scale (pictogram) used by doctors. If your periods interfere with your life, last longer than 7 days, or you feel weak and dizzy, see a doctor even if the total is under 80 ml.

How can I tell if my periods are too heavy?
